This backyard originally had a pool that developed a leak, and the clients decided it was time for a change. Instead of replacing it, they wanted a space that felt clean, functional, and easier to maintain without committing to a full size pool.
After the pool was removed, the yard was left as a blank slate with uneven ground and no real structure. The project started with full site prep and grading to create a solid, level foundation across the entire space.
From there, artificial turf was installed to give the yard a consistent, polished look year round with minimal upkeep. Large modern stepping stones were added to create a simple, intentional walkway that helps define the layout and guide movement through the space.
To replace the experience of a full pool without the maintenance, a raised deck platform was built to house a spa. This creates a dedicated area to relax while adding elevation and depth to the yard. The steps leading up to the deck make access easy and tie everything together into one cohesive design.
What started as a problem with a leaking pool turned into an opportunity to completely rethink the space. The result is a clean, low maintenance backyard that is built for comfort, usability, and everyday enjoyment.
