Our team truly enjoyed bringing this project to life and watching all the elements come together. What began as a challenging landscape quickly turned into one of our proudest transformations. The steeply sloped driveway and uneven terrain posed initial difficulties, but we leaned into those challenges and turned them into standout design features.
To navigate the hillside, we lined the slope with strategically placed stones and rugged, drought-resistant plants that not only anchor the landscape but also add texture and character as you make your way down the drive. Just before reaching the front entrance, we incorporated black river rocks between large limestone steps, creating a modern, eye-catching transition into the home.
Instead of opting for a traditional flower bed with soil and blooms, we kept the design clean and contemporary. Continuing the river rock motif, we planted hardy, low-maintenance greenery that thrives in the Texas climate and complements the home’s modern aesthetic.
The end result is a bold yet refined landscape that looks great year-round, requires minimal upkeep, and feels like a natural extension of the home’s architecture.
