There were so many exciting elements to work on with this project, and we truly enjoyed bringing it all together. The lot is exceptionally spacious and features a stunning pool that naturally became a focal point of the design. Knowing how important privacy can be when enjoying a swim, one of our first priorities was to line the fence with mature, full-grown bushes. This not only added privacy but also created a lush, green backdrop that feels both peaceful and secluded.
Surrounding the pool, we placed three large palm trees, each nestled within custom planters. Between the palms, we incorporated a mix of minimalist plants to maintain a clean, modern aesthetic without overwhelming the space. The simplicity of the design around the pool allows the palms to stand out while keeping the overall vibe relaxed and inviting.
The back section of the yard is where we really got to have some creative fun. We installed a custom limestone firepit—perfect for gathering on chilly Texas evenings. The goal was to extend the home’s living space into the backyard, creating a functional and stylish outdoor area that could be enjoyed year-round.
To define the space, we constructed brick planters and filled the area with crisp white stones. Within those planters, we organized a curated mix of plants and bushes that align with a minimalist theme. This not only elevates the overall look but also helps reduce water usage—making it as practical as it is beautiful. The result is a private, resort-inspired backyard that’s ready for relaxing, entertaining, and everything in between.
