We had an incredible time working on this landscape project. The property offered a wide, open space that gave us the freedom to get creative and make a strong visual impact. From the beginning, we knew we wanted to preserve much of the existing lawn—it brought a lush, established feel to the yard. But we also wanted to introduce some bold, Texas-tough elements to give the space more personality and structure.
We started by blending a variety of textures using gravel, smooth white stones, and strategically placed large boulders. These features not only helped define the space but also added dimension and contrast against the green of the lawn. One of the most exciting parts of the project was incorporating plants. We introduced hardy, low-maintenance varieties like cacti and agave to create that iconic rugged Texas vibe. To balance it all out, we added flowering bushes and small palm trees for softness and movement.
The end result is a landscape that strikes the perfect balance between bold and welcoming. Every element works together to create a cohesive design with plenty of curb appeal—and it’s built to thrive in the Texas climate. This one was definitely a favorite for our team!
