This modern West Austin home is perfectly situated on a spacious, flat lot surrounded by mature trees, offering both privacy and natural beauty. To complement the home’s clean, contemporary architecture, we installed modern steel and wire fencing around the raised deck, enhancing both form and function with sleek, minimalist lines.
What truly sets this project apart is the extensive use of steel planters. Their sharp, geometric form pairs effortlessly with the home’s aesthetic, serving as a modern visual anchor throughout the landscape. Inside the planters, we kept the design minimal and intentional—using a blend of natural stones and riverbed rock as a clean, low-maintenance base.
We then filled them with a curated selection of hardy, Texas-tough plants that thrive in our climate with little water and look great year-round. These drought-resistant choices not only keep the space sustainable but also maintain a strong visual presence through every season.
One of our favorite details is the custom minimalist fountain—a subtle yet striking feature that adds both sound and movement to the space without overwhelming the overall design. This project perfectly balances function, simplicity, and sophistication, creating a landscape that feels like an extension of the home itself.
